Worship begins with music. The words to the songs appear on the large screens up front. Everyone is invited to join in singing. The singers on the stage are there to lead us. Music begins about 10 minutes before the service officially begins.
You’ll find a tear-away registration card in the Worship Bulletin. You can fill this out and share with us any special prayer requests or needs that you might have. Then place the card in the collection basket when it’s passed.
We celebrate communion every weekend. Communion is a time when we remember Christ’s sacrificial death for our sins. All believers are invited to join us. First the bread will be passed. Take a portion and as you eat, remember Christ’s suffering. Next the tray with small cups of grape juice will be distributed. Take a cup and drink the juice, remembering Christ’s blood. Replace the empty cup in the tray. We do not hold the elements and wait to take them together at one time.
Oak Hills is known as a church of prayer. During the worship assembly people are given an opportunity to pray with one of the elders, ministers, or prayer partners. If you have any special needs or prayer requests you are invited to join us for this time of prayer.
As our guest, you should not feel obligated to give an offering. This part of the service is for those who have committed to give back to God through tithes and offering so that we can participate in God’s work.
The lesson from the Bible is helps us to understand God’s word and apply His teachings to our everyday life.
Stop by the Guest Services Desk in the foyer and pick up a free CD of one of Max’s sermons.
Be our guest for free Starbucks coffee. The Connection Café is across the foyer from the Worship Center. It’s staffed by friendly people who can explain how to get connected to one of our small groups. We have 100’s of small groups of friends who meet regularly to study the Bible, pray together, and serve together.
